Blink 182 World Tour:

Pop punk icons Blink-182 announced a massive reunion tour for 2023 featuring the band’s original lineup with guitarist/vocalist, Tom DeLonge. In 2015 DeLonge exited the band and was replaced by Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba, who toured with the band extensively throughout the last decade.

Earlier this year, Skiba revealed he wasn’t certain if he was still a part of the band and rumors that Blink-182 would be reuniting with DeLonge started to grow.

The band confirmed Tuesday morning both the tour and official reunion with DeLonge in a comedic and raunchy video, along with a teaser for their new song “Edging” releasing this Friday. The band also confirmed that they will be releasing a new album next year, marking the band’s first album with DeLonge since 2011’s Neighborhoods.

DeLonge exited the band in 2015 for reasons that weren’t clear at the time. However, he later expressed that he stepped away from Blink-182 to pursue his interest in UFO’s. Since then, DeLong Co founded the organization To The Stars Academy of Arts & Science, seeking to “reach transformative discoveries within our reach that will revolutionize the human experience.”

Blink-182, whose lyrics were rife with humor and teenage angst, sold more than 50 million albums with hits such as “What’s My Age Again?” and “All the Small Things.” Blink-182 last released an album in 2019, but its members have remained in the public eye. Barker, the drummer, married Kourtney Kardashian earlier this year after courting her in front of cameras for the first season of the famous family’s Hulu show. He has also collaborated with younger stars such as Willow Smith and Machine Gun Kelly.

He “has always remained cool and hip, and does a lot of recording with a lot of up-and-coming groups,” said Bobby Borg, a musician and author. “I think that’s what kind of makes them able to do resurgence tours — they’re still respected and looked at as relevant.”

Hoppus, the band’s bassist and singer, also made headlines after he announced last year that he had been receiving treatment for cancer. DeLonge, a guitarist and singer, is well known for his theories on UFOs and aliens, publishing videos that were later declassified and released by the Pentagon..
