How did he gain fame?
Shrivardhan Trivedi as he is known as rose to fame due to his unique reporting and anchoring skills. He displays that charismatic hosting style, delivers dialogue in an interesting way, dresses uniquely, sports a long hair and an appealing beard. This is what makes him different from his league of anchors as well as the most watched crime report anchor.
His life and education background
He was born in the small city of Dindori in Madhya Pradesh on November 18, 1970 and is now aged 52. He got his primary education at his hometown. But to pursue higher education, he went to Sagar. He completed his M.Sc. at Sagar University. Later he joined NSD (‘National School of Drama’) since he had a great taste for performing arts. On completing successfully the entrance exams, in 1994 from NSD he received postgraduate diploma.
Career
After joining NSD, he became a stage artist and later gained popularity among the mass in 2004 with his ABP-based criminal investigation series ‘Sansani’. His initial contract was just for a year. However, the program’s rising TRP and Trivedi’s increasing popularity encouraged the news channel to retain him to this day. Since his initial days as crime news anchor, he progressed continuously.
Recognition
His efforts and unique style of anchoring and projecting news is what brought him recognition throughout the country. He was invited by Colors TV as a guest in ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’. He also worked on several Hindi movies and television series including the popular 18+ series. He also managed to produce ‘Dekh Ke’ a Bhojpuri film.
Language
He attended a Hindi school to complete his primary education thus not knowing much of English during those days. However, he has a special liking for learning English. He had also once written his father a letter in the English language, although it had several errors. This shows his willingness to overcome challenges and learn something new that has helped in him creating that brand image.
Awards and Recognition
India ‘Book of Records’ facilitated him in 2013 for Sansani, the longest running crime news show on ABP News. In 2009, for the same show, he got mentioned in the famous ‘Limca Records Book for completing 5,000 episodes. In 2015 he received ‘India Media Welfare Assoc.’ Awards. Again in 2017, he BCS Ratna Awards entered him in the ‘Hall of Fame’. ‘Record Breakers’ also gave him an award for his anchoring in ‘Sansani’ for a very long time.
