Fire is always dangerous to play with. Even more so when you are setting things on fire all over the place with a baseball bat that is on fire. Try the Superior Ranged Cremator Mod if you are sick of accidentally blowing up red barrels and dying with fire-based combat weapons.
You can set zombies and barrels on fire from a safe distance by firing fireballs from your guns. Hit the zombies a few times to set them on fire and watch them flail around in confusion. It also does a good job of stopping those annoying Screamers.

The Superior Melee Cremator Mod or the Cremator mods in general (of any rarity) are great for killing a lot of different types of zombies. All of these types of mods give your guns fire damage. The more rare they are, the more damage they do.
If you hit a zombie enough, it will catch fire. This is one of the best mods for Dead Island 2 if you like to burn zombies to a crisp. It can also light any pools of fuel you find in the world. Set everything on fire.
