I’m beyond tired hearing about all these rules and regulations to make your diet FINALLY work. Not only do diets fail in the long run, there’s no way you can keep something going in the long term if the rules keep on driving you crazy. So, it’s time to clear them out and make space for smart eating – not ridiculous rules.
Here are 3 steps to help you clear out the food clutter that keeps you packing on the pounds:
1. Stop Watching Television:
No matter how tired entrümpelung you may be after work or at the end of a long day, you need to find a better activity to do. The commercials alone are enough to hypnotize you into eating all the foods you shouldn’t. Even worse, there’s so many images of people with unhealthy relationships with food on TV these days. That’s the last thing you need. Choose another activity that actually relaxes your mind, not just deadens and hypnotizes it.
2. Read Positive Books and Articles
By turning off the TV, you’re blocking the flow of negative messages. Now it’s time to do some Positive Brain Surgery, as I like to call it. Get as many copies of positive, uplifting books as you can. Choose ones that have a message of hope and gratitude. To lose weight, you have to feel good about what you’re doing. Reading the right books reinforces this. Soon, your clutter turns into simple, healthy, caring thoughts.
3. Clear Your Mind
Now that you’ve stopped the flow of bad thoughts and increased the amount of good ones, it’s time to clear your mind of all thoughts. Why do this? If you’re meditating or going for walks where you simply pay attention, the thoughts that do pop up show where your subconscious is. If you sit to meditate and a positive thought comes up, you know you’re doing something right. If negative thoughts start coming in, you need to do whatever it takes to bring your subconscious mind to act in a positive way.
