All 6 Iconic Smart Weapons In Cyberpunk 2077, Ranked

When fighting the most dangerous people in Night City, smart guns are a huge help. Here is how each one is ranked in Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a game with a lot of things to look at, things to do, and noise. When you walk down the street, you can already see that this is too much. When in battle, the muzzle flashes, grenades, and bullets coming from all directions add to the intense atmosphere. So how do you line up a good shot when all this is going on?

You don’t, is the simple truth. If you try to get the perfect headshot in the middle of a hailstorm of dangerous projectiles, you will take more damage than you do. Smart weapons are made so that people don’t have to stand around and try to aim correctly. Some of the guns in Cyberpunk 2077 leave a lot to be desired, but if you find the best smart weapon that feels like it was made for you, you probably won’t go back.

Divided We Stand

Weapon TypeSmart
Base WeaponD5 Sidewinder
Iconic EffectWhen you aim at five enemies at once, you add chemical damage that has a high chance of causing poisonous clouds to form and/or poisoning them.

This smart assault gun is great because it can target up to five enemies at once and has a chance to poison them. This isn’t to say that poison is bad. It’s great against living things, and the harmful clouds it makes can even help control crowds.

But if you compare this gun’s numbers to those of all the other famous smart weapons in Cyberpunk 2077, it has the lowest DPS by a long shot. If you like how the gun fires automatically, do yourself a favour and get one of the two submachine guns on this list. You’ll notice a big difference right away. The gold gun with the NUSA flag on the handle is a well-known symbol, but it’s all flash and no substance.

The right way to get the Divided we stand is to win the “Stadium Love” shooting event. But players who don’t mind getting their hands dirty can take the gun by force and wipe out the Sixers.

Yinglong

Weapon TypeSmart
Base WeaponG-58 Dian
Iconic EffectWhen hit, there is a small chance that EMP will be used.

What is the worst thing that can happen when you use a submachine gun? The return that wasn’t right. This flaw is taken away by the smart factor, leaving you with a gun that is really ready to do some serious damage in battle. The chance of being surprised seems low, but the huge number of shots makes it almost certain that it will happen after each clip is empty.

The EMP and electrical harm are better against robots, so even if some of the guns higher on this list are more versatile, keep this one in your toolbox for when machines try to hurt you. You’ll take out their systems and push them down like a sack of hammers.

To get the Yinglong:

  • Get the Edgerunner Artisan Perk .
  • During the Suspected Criminal Activity in Wellsprings, kill the boss.
  • Remove the plan from his body.
  • Craft it!

Skippy

Weapon TypeSmart
Base WeaponHJKE-11 Yukimura
Iconic EffectIn Headshot Only mode or Limbs Only mode, sure headshots or guaranteed limb shots will sometimes fire randomly, and it talks a lot.

Skippy is a cute little Smart gun that you can just pick up off the ground. It mostly works like a normal Cyberpunk 2077, but there is one very important difference: if you set it up right, Skippy will always hit the head.

When you first pick up Skippy, it will ask you if you want to be a Puppy-Loving Pacifist or a Stone Cold Killer.Skippy will only shoot limbs in Puppy mode, but after 50 kills and a few days, it will ask some philosophical questions to which V should answer “I don’t know” or “I’m not having a conversation with my gun.” After that, it will always be in Stone Cold Killer mode and only target heads.

But Skippy isn’t a perfect dog. It will sometimes go off on its own if you don’t pull the trigger, which is bad for stealth tasks, and not everyone will like Skippy’s constant talking. Also, it will finally ask to be sent back to Regina Jones. If you want to keep Skippy forever, you can ignore this request.

It’s strange that this gun isn’t hidden or held by a boss. In Heywood, you can find Skippy in a back alley near a dead body.

Genjiroh

Weapon TypeSmart
Base WeaponHJKE-11 Yukimura
Iconic EffectIt fires four rounds per shot, has a six-round clip, can track up to six targets, has a faster projectile, does more electrical damage, and is more likely to shock.

The Genjiroh can be changed in more ways than any other gun in Cyberpunk 2077. Electric damage and the chance to shock keep living enemies from moving, and the first wave of fire kills any robot enemies.

The gun would have a better rank, but the changes make it worse in a couple of sneaky ways.Even with a bigger clip, firing four bullets at once quickly empties the gun. And going after six enemies at once is a bit too much because the damage is spread out too much instead of killing them one by one. Still, it’s a good choice for almost any build.

During the “Play it Safe” task, you can open a closed door on floor 21 with either 11 in Tech or the code 2906. Strangely, there’s also another Genjiroh sitting at a desk at Arasaka Estate, who can be used during Cyberpunk 2077.

Prototype Shingen: Mark V

Weapon TypeSmart
Base WeaponTKI-20 Shingen
Iconic EffectTracks up to three targets and shoots explosive rounds that have a chance of setting them on fire.

The other famous submachine gun is made to kill robots. This one, on the other hand, is made to kill everything.Explosive damage can hit three enemies at once, and the rise in DPS is clear right away.

When you fire this gun quickly, it will feel like you are throwing a bunch of small bombs. And if you time how fast the enemies die, you’ll see that this picture isn’t too far from the truth. Explosive shots really shake up enemies, so if you use this on a single target, you can keep them stunned.

It wasn’t a surprise that V’s enemies didn’t want him to get this smart tool. The Prototype Shingen: Mark V is locked up in a shipping crate with the number 667 on it. During the “Gimme Danger” quest, you can get to it.

The Prototype Shingen can be gotten before the “Gimme Danger” quest. Just go to the Arasaka Industrial Park when Act 2 starts, and it will be in shipping container 667.

Ba Xing Chong

Weapon TypeSmart
Base WeaponL-69 Zhuo
Iconic EffectUses explosive homing shots that have a much better chance of destroying enemies.

Shotguns are already strong tools, but Ba Xing Chong makes them even stronger. Other shotguns send out clouds of pellets that don’t hit their targets, but Ba Xing Chong’s projectiles always hit their spot. Each and every time.

Also, because this weapon is so famous, it has a chance of knocking down enemies, and since it shoots so many projectiles at once, the chances of that happening are pretty good. All shotguns are better at killing enemies that are close to you, but this one is so powerful that it can even kill bosses with just a few shots.

To get the Ba Xing Chong:

  • Get the code to open Adam Smasher’s vault from his recently dead body.
  • Get the Edgerunner Artisan Perk .
  • Break into the safe in Ebunike.
  • Take the schematic .
  • Craft it!

Since you can’t get the entry code for Adam Smasher until the end of the game, you can’t use Ba Xing Chong until you’ve finished Drive Mad game at least once. Reloading to the “Point of No Return” lets you do any quests you missed and pick up any guns that become available after you beat the game.
