In the past, I’ve written about how to make a marriage last and how to keep things interesting in your relationship. Those are great ideas, but sometimes relaxing and enjoying romance is nice. That’s why I’m sharing with you some of my favorite romantic movies that will help bring the charm back into your relationship!
Forever My Girl
A country music superstar, Taylor Swift is known for her sweet-and-sour demeanor. She’s also known as a romantic. On the set of “Forever My Girl,” she plays a small-town girl who accidentally meets and falls in love with another man—the one who happens to be her stepbrother!
The movie stars Adam Garcia (a former Backstreet Boys member) and Joanna Garcia (the actress’s real-life sister). It follows their relationship over several years following their chance meeting at an airport terminal in Los Angeles. As they grow up together through thick and thin, their love story becomes more complicated than ever before.
Palm Springs
Palm Springs is a romantic comedy starring Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey. The story focuses on a couple trying to save their marriage after it has been on the rocks for some time. They move from Los Angeles to Palm Springs, California, hoping things will improve once they settle into their new home.
The movie is set in the early 1990s. Still, it feels like today’s world because of all its references to popular cultures such as cell phones, technology, and social media outlets like Facebook (which was first released five years later). You’ll also see celebrities such as Bruce Willis, who plays himself in an episode of Friends!
Sweet Home Alabama
Sweet Home Alabama is a romantic comedy that stars Reese Witherspoon and Josh Lucas. The film was released in 2002 and tells the story of a woman who returns to her hometown after marrying a New York City news anchor.
The movie has been praised for its acting, music, and cinematography. Still, many people think it’s also why couples can’t seem to stay together—because they’re always looking for something new or exciting when they should be focusing on what makes them happy in their relationship; this includes movies! So, if you want your love life back on track…
Silver Linings Playbook
David O. Russell wrote and directed the 2013 romantic comedy Silver Linings Playbook. It stars Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence, with Robert De Niro in a supporting role as Pat Solitano, Sr., Bradley Cooper’s father. The movie is about how Pat, who has a mental illness, tries to fix his relationship with his wife, Nikki. However, things go wrong when he starts dating Tiffany (Jennifer Lawrence), whose psychiatrist, Dr. Patel (Jacki Weaver), says she has bipolar disorder.
This movie has won several awards, including Best Actor for Bradley Cooper at the 2013 Oscars, Best Actress for Jennifer Lawrence at the 2014 Golden Globes Awards, and Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy at both Golden Globes Award categories.
The Notebook
The Notebook is a romantic movie that stars Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams. It is based on a Nicholas Sparks novel about two people who fall in love during the 1940s. The story follows their lives together and how they eventually get married. This movie will make you cry joyfully because it’s so beautiful!
This beautiful movie is also on Hulu, but you can’t watch it if you live in Italy because the content is blocked there. But should you miss this amazing movie due to this? I would say not at all! Just connect to a VPN and stream the top-notch content of Hulu in Italy without any hassle.
Hope Springs
Hope Springs is a movie about a couple in the middle of a divorce. The two go to a retreat to try to save their relationship, but what they find there will surprise you!
The movie stars Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones as they explore their feelings for each other while trying to work through marital issues. It’s one of my favorite rom-coms because it’s funny and has an ending everyone can love! Hope Springs is based on the true story of John Roberts’ relationship with his wife, Julie.
Letters to Juliet
Letters to Juliet is a 1950 romantic drama film directed by George Cukor. It stars Montgomery Clift and Elizabeth Taylor as the title character, who travels to Italy with her fiance, played by Rex Harrison, for their wedding. They meet two men: one living in Verona and another never leaving his village.
The movie begins with Juliet vacationing with her fiance’s family at an Italian resort. The couple has just returned from their honeymoon when they learn that he has been called away on business; however, he leaves instructions that she should marry his brother if anything happens to him while he’s away (which turns out true). Upon returning home after his departure, she discovers that he hasn’t written any letters back home because none are waiting for him when he gets back!
Pride & Prejudice
If you’re looking for a classic romantic comedy, Pride & Prejudice is the movie for you. Based on Jane Austen’s novel of the same name, this film stars Keira Knightley as Elizabeth Bennet and Matthew Macfadyen as Mr. Darcy (two characters obsessed with each other). The story follows their love story from beginning to end while also exploring how they deal with society’s expectations of them and their own expectations of themselves.
The film was released in 2005 and has become one of Hollywood’s most popular movies ever!
When Harry Met Sally
When Harry Met Sally is a romantic comedy starring Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan. It’s directed by Rob Reiner, who also produced this movie. This film was released in 1989 and centers on the relationship between Harry (Billy Crystal) and Sally (Meg Ryan). The two meets at a bar one night when Sally asks him if he wants to go for a drink. They eventually fall in love despite having very different personalities, which makes for some hilarious moments throughout the movie!
The setting of When Harry Met Sally takes place in New York City, where many famous landmarks can be seen, such as Central Park, Radio City Music Hall and Times Square, among others!
